One Community has partnered with Glenbard West High School and downtown businesses in Glen Ellyn – to create and showcase in our Village, student artwork that reflect the diverse identities and experiences of our high school students – experiences that enrich our community each and every day. The theme this year is A Sense of Belonging.
Each composition, along with an artist statement that explains the inspiration behind the piece, is being hosted at business window fronts in downtown Glen Ellyn through the end of April. Preview these impactful works of art and accompanying artist statements on One Community website. Participate in a treasure hunt to discover all of the 21 artworks on display – you can download the Treasure Hunt Card from Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn page, or pick up a card at The Bookstore of Glen Ellyn or at Gather & Collect.

The aim of the Diversity Arts Project is to bring to the community youth voices that capture their varied perspectives, and allow the community to experience and appreciate them. The public can view the art pieces in the Glen Ellyn Central Business District (along Main Street, Crescent Boulevard, Pennsylvania Avenue, and Forest Avenue).
