One Community on April 15th celebrated 34 Glenbard students who participated in a series titled “Conversations on Race and Belonging.” This marks the fifth year that community members – including police chiefs, community leaders, parents, high school principals, assistant principals, faculty members, school counselors and school resource officers – have joined students to share their individual experiences. The conversations have been moving and enlightening. The initiative highlights students' commitment to community, and their leadership in building understanding to enhance experiences for all.

During the event recognizing the contributions of the students, several spoke about the significance of these conversations as a space where they discovered common ground, found support, and expressed their voices.
