About the Event
One Community has partnered with Glenbard West High School to create and showcase in our Village, student artwork that reflect the diverse identities and experiences of our high school students – experiences that enrich our community each and every day.
This year’s theme is human migration, to complement the “World On The Move: 250,000 years of Human Migration” exhibit that will be hosted at the Glen Ellyn Public Library in August 2024. The World On The Move exhibit was developed by the American Anthropological Association, together with the Smithsonian’s Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage and Smithsonian Exhibits, and is administered by the American Library Association’s Public Programs Office.
The aim of the Diversity Arts Project is to bring to the community youth voices that capture their varied perspectives, and allow the community to experience and appreciate them. We hope you enjoy these creative pieces that highlight the richness of our multi-faceted Village, through the art strokes of those who will lead our society in the future.
